“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. “
Colossians 3:1-2
I think I should chisel this in my forehead… ![]()

in the midst of them…
Today in my quiet time I was reading in My Utmost for His Highest. Today’s devotional was about serving God with ‘Undaunted Radiance’.
I am just going to put in a small portion of what it said…
“The surf that distresses the ordinary swimmer produces in the surf-rider the super-joy of going clean through it. Apply that to our own circumstances, these very things – tribulation, distress, persecution, produce in us the super-joy; they are not things to fight. We are more than conquerors through Him in all these things, not in spite of them, but in the midst of them. The saint never knows the joy of the Lord in spite of tribulation, but because of it – ‘I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation,’ says Paul.”
That was such a good reminder to me on how I need to not be just surviving but have a ‘super-joy’ through everything that comes my way! I have such a hope that the world does not have. God is so faithful!!! He will never leave us or forsake us. I want to have that ‘super-joy’!!! -
Yeah, so I took this test…
And I am…

In your circle of friends you are the one who likes
to keep an eye out for all the others. Always
there with advice or encouragement, you are
dependable and kind.
If you’re not a parent already, you’ll make a great
one when the time comes.
Which Pooh character are you?
brought to you by QuizillaSo, to all of you who have taken to calling me “mom”, here is proof.

coming to a close, that we will have renewed strength and energy.
We serve such an awesome God! It has been so good to see my family! I
don’t feel like I have got to spend as much time with them as I would
have liked, but it is still so good to see them. -

Poor Trina…
* Edit* – I was advised to take the picture down.
My Mother said it was not very becoming.
Andre’s been at it in Photoshop again…

Life in the TeenPact Office…
OK, I guess it is time to update my site…
First of all my adventure began on January 2, 2006. Arriving back in the TeenPact office I was greeted by a lot of extra people. I realized that I was SO incredibly blessed to be here serving TeenPact as the Director of Volunteers. This involves running around being a mother to a bunch of crazy teenagers [and Alina (who is not a teenager (but is still crazy))] but they bless my life in so many awesome ways. The new TeenPact office has brought a host of new opportunities and challenges. I work in a cool office with shelves of impending doom towering around me. They are going to fall over any minute so if this message ends suddenly… you’ll know why. I hope the Super Strength Adhesive that Boe and Micah used will hold… The new office is much larger and has more room to organize and expand.
We have a whole new crew of office staff. A variety of personalities makes my job very interesting. We took a personality test last week. I found out I am an “entertainer”. Who would have thunk? The tests have really helped us bond as the 2006 Office Staff team. Unfortunately, the bond was water soluble and it just rained… just kidding! They really are an awesome group of kids. er… young adults… future leaders of America… (They were annoyed I called them kids
)
Here are a few things you can keep in your prayers please…
First that I will continually surrender my will to God in everything he has called me to do.
Second I injured my knee back in Nov. and it is not getting well. I bruised and stretched the ligament (or something like that). Just pray that it will heal quickly.
Thirdly that as we get into the 2006 TeenPact season that God will bless it tremendously. That He will protect our staff teams and give them the grace and ability to make an impact on these students lives. For my office staff – that we will be able to minister to them and hold down the fort, providing the encouragement they need, that we will glorify God in all we do and will continue to edify one another. Thank you so much for your continued prayers.
Well, life is good and all is well. Things just stay as busy as ever. I’ll post again once I find my… *crash bang boom* *trina yelling* -
I have been tagged by Bryn and Heather So I guess that means I have to do this.
The Rules
the 1st player of this “game” starts with the topic “5 weird habits of yourself” and people who get tagged need to write a xanga entry about their own 5 weird habits as state this rule clearly. in the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be “tagged” and list their names. don’t forget to leave a comment that says, “you are tagged” in thier xanga and tell them to read yours.
My Five Weird Habits
1. I like my workspace clean before I start working. ( I had to clean my living room before I put up my Christmas tree, I want the kitchen clean before I cook dinner, ect.)
2. I like Chocolate cake with chocolate icing put in a glass of milk and eat it with a spoon.
3. I eat pretzels dipped in icing.
4. I always wear my sunglasses on top of my head. (even if it is cloudy, I think that comes from living in NM where in a matter of minutes the sky can be completely clear.)
5. I eat green chili on almost everything.(another NM trait)Tagged Next
I think everyone has been tagged…but here goes,
Ruth, Eunice, Jenna, Nathanael and Garrison
Have fun guys!!! -
Wow, it feels good to be home and see my family!!! I know, I know…I haven’t updated in forever. I have had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving weekend!!! I love my family! I flew in last Monday and I am leaving tomorrow. My Mom, Grandma (Meaw), My sister (Katelynn) and I are driving from here to GA. They will get to stay about a week with me and I am so excited!!! I can’t wait to show them where I live, where I work, where I go to church and where I shop *grins*. I got to spend a lot of the weekend holding my new little nephew. He is the cutest baby in the world and so precious!!! It was so good to see him for the first time. He is adorable!!! Maybe I will post some pics later.

Family is a precious thing. They are always there for us. I am going through this book with my small group called Sacred Marriage. We talked last week about how sometimes it is hard to serve those who are closest to us. We tend to take them for granted and we wouldn’t dream of treating anyone else the way we sometimes treat them. The book talks about how marriage can be practicing grounds for relationships. I thought about it later and decided that family is practicing grounds for relationships as well. When we learn to love and serve those who we know frontwards and backwards, we can learn to love and serve others. When we represent Christ to our family, we can represent Him to others so much better. Being away from my family for the last five months has made me appreciate them so much more and made me think about what I took for granted. I am so thankful for them and have enjoyed spending the last week with them. Thank you, my wonderful family! I miss you guys so much!!! Love ya’ll!!!
I also got to spend Friday afternoon and night with my best friend!!! We had a blast! We stayed up way too late and drank Starbucks double shots for the first time
. It did not affect us in the slightest (we were a little disappointed
). I love your apartment girl, it is so cute! Our time together was priceless as always. I miss you so much! Thanks for everything! Love ya!
I am thankful for all my friends. I know I am not the best at staying in touch, but I really do appreciate you. I would not make it very long without you guys! God has put each of you in my life for a reason and a purpose. Thanks for being there for me!
I also wanted to say that I am thankful for all my TeenPact friends/sisters/brothers. You guys are awesome and you make my job the best in the world!!! God has also put each of you in my life for a reason and a purpose. I am looking forward to this next season and getting to know you even better. Thanks for all the fun, serious, spiritual and wonderful times and memories we have had!
Well, that is all I have time for right now.
God Bless!
