  • Wow! What a great weekend! We had all the staff for the upcoming Christ at the Capitol here for training. All the girls got to stay with me!!! I love company! We played two games of ultimate Frisbee, went to see the glowing graveyard , ate some great food, had some awesome prayer time, wonderful fellowship, played apples to apple (I think that was the name of it ) and just had an all around wonderful weekend. Please be praying for this team as they go out on the road for the next four weeks. Pray for the students that they come into contact with. Well, that is all I have time for right now.

    God Bless!

  • Thought for the week…

    Have you ever wondered why when standing in line (like in security at the airport) people don’t push and try to go around like when we are in a vehicle (driving on the shoulder when traffic is at a stand still)? I mean I guess some people do try to cut and push in lines but not to the same extent.

    I am getting used to Atlanta traffic… (still trying to convince myself)

    BTW- If I had any of your phone numbers, I no longer have them. My cell phone was stolen in the airport last week, so if you don’t hear from me it isn’t because I don’t love you… if you call me I will have your number back on my phone.(hint hint ) I do have a new phone now. Same number.

    On to more serious stuff…

    God has been so good to me (as always)! I was really struggling with leaving my family in Philly last week. He gave me just the scriptures I needed.

    It is Psalms 18:28-36.

    28 For You will light my lamp;
             The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
        29 For by You I can run against a troop,
             By my God I can leap over a wall.
        30 As for God, His way is perfect;
             The word of the LORD is proven;
             He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

        31 For who is God, except the LORD?
             And who is a rock, except our God?
        32 It is God who arms me with strength,
             And makes my way perfect.
        33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
             And sets me on my high places.
        34 He teaches my hands to make war,
             So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

        35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
             Your right hand has held me up,
             Your gentleness has made me great.
        36 You enlarged my path under me,
             So my feet did not slip.

    Wow! I needed those promises right at that moment! God is so good. I know without a doubt that this is where God has me and what He has me doing. I praise Him that He is so faithful even when I am not.

    Thank you Lord!

  • That was an awesome conference!!! It was so good to see you all!!! I can’t wait until next year! Does anyone have any pictures they would be willing to share? Nathanael??? Did you get some good ones that you took from various random people?

    Thanks everyone for the great weekend! Charades and Pictionary at 2 in the morning is the best! There is not a better group of people to play it with than y’all!
